- Reservations are made online and the selected dates will be blocked out but are subject to acceptance by the Estate Management. You will be notified by email once your booking has been accepted and an invoice will be sent for the full amount due, including for any firewood. Check-in no earlier than midday and check-out by 10am.
- Bookings are for exclusive use of the field. Concessions are available for groups such as Scouts
- Commercial events will be subject to prior agreement with the Estate Management
- No loud or amplified music is permitted on the campsite at any time. No fireworks, Chinese lanterns or anything else not in-keeping with the Estate’s quiet atmosphere and ethos
- The camping field is a rural, natural space – please wear appropriate footwear and take care.
- No vehicle movement to be above walking pace. All cars must be parked neatly within the camping field. Parking is not permitted anywhere on the road leading down to the campsite. The parking spaces outside the field gate are for the exclusive use of people using the Real Tennis court. If the ground is very wet, cars should be parked at the gate end of the field to avoid vehicles getting stuck.
- The campsite is part of a working Estate. The land either side of the camping field is private and often livestock, including chickens, are grazed nearby. All dogs and children must be supervised and kept under control; and the Country Code respected. There are vehicles that use all Estate tracks and lanes. Please keep dogs on leads.
- Access to and use of the river is included in the campsite rental. Please note that if you swim or boat in the water, you do so at your own risk and we advise you wear river/beach shoes. The distance to the opposite riverbank is further than it looks!
- Entry to the fenced area around the boathouse inlet is not permitted and the fence must not be climbed on.
- Fires may only be lit in the purpose-built fire pit by the river or the smaller fire spot at the south end of the field – fires must not be lit in any other part of the campsite. No naked flames to be left unattended.
- A large charcoal barbecue is provided and must be left clean. No personal BBQs to be used on site.
- Toilets with handbasins, a shower enclosure where you can use your own portable camping shower. and a washing-up area are provided for your use. Please wash your hands regularly and be careful on the steps – they can be slippery when wet. Children to use the toilet seats provided.
- Drinking water is provided by standpipes located along the fence line to the left of the gate.
- Firewood can be purchased by the barrow load and delivered to the campsite. This costs £25 per load and should be requested at the time of making the online reservation.
- Payments will be refunded for cancellations made not less than 1 month before the booking start date, after which time they are non-refundable.*
- Please note that there will be a £20 administration fee for a date change to the booking (this can’t done less than 1 month before the booking start date)
- Please take care on the steps up to the toilets – they can be slippery when wet. Children to use the seats provided to separate waste please.
- The person making the booking must ensure that the field is left tidy and free from litter. This includes removing all rubbish and dog foul on departure, and ensuring there are no foreign objects in the loos or the fire pit. If extra work is required to clean the field after a camp, this will be recharged to the person who made the booking.

* The exception to this is if the Estate is unable to accommodate all or part of the booking due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, such as flooding of the camping field.
